MEET ISABEL

HIMOFF

A journey through Utah, told in poetry and art

Over 14 months, 17-year-old Utah writer and artist Isabel Himoff traveled 3,200 miles across 26 Utah counties, hiking, backpacking, observing, and creating. Stepping Into the Wild brings the journey together in 32 poems, 10 paintings, and eight sketches. Every copy directly supports Stewardship Utah’s environmental advocacy.

Meet Isabel

Isabel Himoff is a poet, artist, outdoor enthusiast, and senior at Rowland Hall in Salt Lake City. Raised exploring Utah’s mountains, deserts, and waterways, she developed a deep connection to the natural world. After finding comfort in creativity and time outdoors during a difficult illness, she brought those passions together to create a project that could give something back.

We'd also like to thank Andrea Himoff, Isabel’s mother and a Stewardship Utah Foundation board member, for helping bring this project to our community and supporting Isabel’s vision.
