Community Clean Energy Program Celebration

Sixteen communities across Utah have now adopted the final ordinance to officially join the Community Clean Energy Program (CCEP), previously known as the Community Renewable Energy Program (CREP), in 2024, Utah passed a bill, H.B. 241 Clean Energy Amendments, which changed state statute from ‘renewable energy’ to ‘clean energy’. This has resulted in the program updating their name to reflect state statute. This program has brought years of planning, collaboration, and persistence to fruition. This progress wouldn't have been possible without the dedication of local leaders, partners, advocates, and community members who stayed committed every step of the way. These communities now have a choice in a clean energy future. 

To mark the occasion, we'd love for you to join us for an evening of celebration at Alpha Coffee's downtown location. This is a cool opportunity for us to gather and reflect on what we've accomplished together, and recognize the elected officials, partners, and community members who helped make this work possible.
