Tomorrow afternoon, the Government Operations Interim Committee is holding a hearing on a bill that would make it so election officers must receive ballots before polls close on election day and would require ballot boxes to be located no more than a 60-minute drive from 95% of registered voters in the election officer's jurisdiction. RadioACTive talks with Nat Williams, Democracy Policy Associate at Stewardship Utah, about proposed election reforms.
Nov. 20: Government Operations Interim Committee, 1:15 p.m. in Room 210 of the Utah Senate Building, 120 E. Capitol St., SLC. For the agenda, which includes several election reform items, click here. In addition to attending in person as space allows, the public may participate remotely in the meeting by visiting the committee’s webpage to access the live streaming options.
